Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had the most amazing sea views from outside our room, the breakfast was scrumptious, and thanks to BelAire for their professional and kind staff. The rooms were clean and very comfortable but had a terrible musty perspiration smell that started to give me a headache.
My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were modern and spacious, with a great sea view, but I wish there was a balcony for that extra sea breeze touch. The service was exceptional, with staff being very friendly and courteous. The location was bright and spacious with amazing views of the promenade and ocean, making it easy to explore Durban city. The dining experience was top-notch, offering delicious meals with spectacular views. Overall, a great experience with a few minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were spacious with a small kitchenette, a bit dated but clean and tidy, and came with a very comfortable large bed. The high-class decor was just amazing, exactly like in the pictures. The service was top-notch, with efficient, friendly, and extremely well-trained staff. The location was perfect for a jog on the beachfront, very close to the beach, but the management could improve cleanliness. The dining experience was high class with delicious food, but the room service could have been better. The facilities were great, meeting all my needs and expectations.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was beautiful and comfortable, offering a nice ocean view even though we didn't specifically pay for it. The service was friendly, especially the lady cleaning the 4th floor. The location is right on the seafront in Durban, making it ideal for beach lovers. The dining experience was great every morning. However, there could be more vegetarian options available. The facilities were excellent, with spacious showers in the rooms.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and nice, with a convenient little kitchenette which was perfect for my kids. The sea views were truly breathtaking, although I have to admit, the cleanliness could have been better. The service was top-notch, from the helpful staff entering the room after cleaning to the offer to look after our bags while we explored the Durban Promenade. The location couldn't have been better for a jog along the beachfront, being centrally located near the beach, the promenade, and the city. The dining experience, although not ideal for vegetarians, was saved by the amazing hospitality of the staff and the filling meals provided, even though the bacon was a bit undercooked. Overall, a fantastic spot to stay with a few minor drawbacks.
The hotel provided a mixed experience with spacious rooms featuring a kitchenette for convenience but marred by a cold temperature due to malfunctioning air conditioners and an unpleasant cigarette smell. The service was a blend of friendliness and efficiency with a shadow of rudeness and potential security issues. The location was hailed as outstanding for its breathtaking view and quick beach access offset by limited in-room amenities. The dining was a hit with excellent offerings but lacked variety. Overall, the hotel presents both positives and negatives for consideration.
The hotel offers a mix of spacious and clean rooms with excellent views exceeding our expectations, yet some rooms are too small to fit everyone. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff that took us to our rooms. The location boasts an amazing rooftop with stunning views, but management needs to improve cleanliness. The dining experience was very nice and accommodating, although it could be a bit better. The facilities provided were great, enhancing the overall stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. Despite the rooms not being clean upon arrival and some delay in readiness, the beds were comfortable. The service, especially from Zukiiii, was friendly, although carrying luggage up and down the stairs was inconvenient. The location had its charm with stunning views but was somewhat noisy due to neighboring air conditioning units. The dining experience wasn't consistent, leading me to eat out for breakfast every day, but some dishes were quite satisfying.
The hotel offers spectacular views from ocean-view rooms and the food is perfect with friendly and helpful waitress. However, the breakfast area feels like an afterthought and could be cleaner.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the bright side, the service was exceptional with a heartwarming gesture for our honeymoon celebration. The ocean view room was stunningly decorated with roses, chocolates, and wine, making our stay special. However, the rooms had an unpleasant smell and some maintenance issues, especially with crochet decorations. Being located opposite the elevator may not suit everyone's preference.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of comfort and frustration. The rooms, though initially disturbed by red ants on the first night, turned out to be spacious, comfortable, and clean. The service was exceptional, with thoughtful gestures like offering a breakfast bag for an early departure, but there were issues with running out of food. The location was excellent, but the restriction on self-service was a drawback. The dining experience was enjoyable overall, with delicious meals but limited options. Despite some shortcomings, the value for money was fair.
The hotel's rooms were clean and offered a better channel selection, although lacking sea views initially. The quick fix from a double to two singles was appreciated, even if it was the wrong setup from the start. The additional bedroom felt cramped, almost like being in a prison cell. The old-style windows and noisy air-con didn't help either.
